I have a lot of work to do considering I leave for Italy on the 4th. I better get moving.

Lets Make A Deal

I am super excited about my next project. I was able to workout a little exchange with a good friend of mine. It is going to be soooo perfect. For one she is a really gifted photographer and two she has the most adorable, picture perfect kids.

So the deal is I am going to make them each a dress and Michelle is going to photograph them. I can't wait. I am off the buy fabric.

The Keiki Dress

I finally finished another project. This adorable little dress is for an even more adorable little girl, my niece Kaitlyn in Colorado.

I got the pattern from Whole Grain Baby. They have a bunch of cute patterns. I hope to do another one in the near future.

The name comes from Hawaiian for child. I thought the print was very Hawaiian looking. I love this Amy Butler fabric and I have a ton left over. Any ideas of what to do with the rest?

Headband for Annika

I have been out of town (away from the computer) for the last week on a fabulous family vacation. I had not seen my niece and nephew in way too long! I made this darling little peony headband for Annika. She loved it so much I am going to make her a few more in other colors. They are super easy and quick to make. If anyone is interested in a tutorial post a comment.

I'm Back with Booties

Sorry for the long absence but at least I have been keeping busy. I made some lovely little booties for a friend as a belated baby arrival gift. I loved these little booties so much I decided to add them to my Esty shop as well. I wish I could take credit for the design but that goes to the very talented Aimee Larsen @ HomeSpun Threads.

Polk-a-dots!!!!

I finished my first "real" etsy project. And I must say I love it!! It turned out so well. I think the polk-a-dots are just soooo cute and the yellow really gives it that pop it needs. Please take a look at my etsy shop if you are interested in ordering one. You can also leave me a comment here and we can be in touch.
I am really excited to start my next porject. I am making a tunic for myself out of some really fun asain themed fabric full of dragons. On this project I am going to try and document my progress a little better. I am having so much fun with my sewing machine I should have started using it years ago.
